Years ago, I heard an old Indian saying which states, "When you were born, you cried and the whole world rejoiced. Live your life in such a way that when you die, the whole world cries and you rejoice."

Life is meant to be lived, not survived. God created man to be a living being, not just a breathing being. There's a story in John 11 about the a man Lazarus. Usually the focus is on how Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead. Can you imagine the difference in Lazarus' life after being raised from the dead. Think about it, if you died and came back to life, what else could you ever fear?  

The way God works is usually totally "upside down" compared to the way we naturally think - compared to how we were taught life works.  We were told, you're born, then you live, then you die.  Jesus teaches us that....

You die - by giving up your life and giving it to Jesus.

You're born again - you start a new life by following Jesus.

You live - by fulfilling the life God designed for you to live. 

The Apostle Paul said, "For me to live is Christ and to die is gain."

Once you really start living in Christ, there's nothing else in this world that can get to you.
